On October 8, 2011 a group of SASIC students participated in this year’s ARTPACE Chalk It Up event. Caravanning from the school at 6 am, this group of dedicated artists braved the rain to go and express their creativity on the corner or N. Main and Houston Street, downtown. Taking over 6 hours, this chalk masterpiece was a lesson in team building, cooperation, problem solving and good ol’ fun.
Winding out the day was an 8 ft. by 10 ft. rendition of all the things that make up the culture of SASIC; and then some. SASIC was one of over 100+ organizations and individuals participating in Chalk It Up. Look for more campus based chalk it up activities in the coming spring.
